Barzani calls Turkey, PKK to cease fire

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, called “Turkey and the PKK elements to cease fire.”

The spokesman of Kurdistan Region Presidency, Omeed Sabah, stressed in a statement issued on the background of the clashes between the Turkish Army and the elements of the PKK “The Presidency of Kurdistan Region expresses its concerns over the latest developments and the clashes especially in Hakari area.”

“Barzani called all sides to announce cease-fire to resort peaceful solution,” he added.

“As we condemn the attacks conducted by the PKK elements which harm the Kurdish interests, we confirm that clashes and wars will participate in consolidating the disputes and the crises,” he concluded.

Earlier, the Turkish Army revealed killing 115 among the PKK elements during the last two weeks.
