(IraqiNews.com) Erbil – On Thursday the President of the Kurdistan region, Massoud Barzani, considered the crisis between Baghdad and Ankara on the entry of Turkish troops into Iraqi territory as a “misunderstanding”, while pointed out to the existence of efforts to address the crisis.

Barzani said during a press conference held today in Ankara and followed by IraqiNews.com: “There is a misunderstanding between Baghdad and Ankara on the entry of Turkish troops into Iraqi territory,” pointing out that, “there are attempts to address it.”

Barzani added that “The Kurdistan region will not become a party in the problems between the countries.”

Barzani also stressed the need for “the continuation of the peace process between the Kurds and Turkey,” indicating to the determination “to meet with Kurdish political parties in Turkey to discuss the peace process.”
