Barzani, Erdogan stress settling political crisis

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Premier of Kurdistan Regional Government, Nijirvan Barzani, and the Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayib Erdogan, discussed upgrading the relations between Kurdistan Region and Turkey and stressed settling the political crisis according to the constitution.

A statement by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) cited “Barzani met Erdogan in Istanbul on the margin of the International Economic Conference that is held in Istanbul on Tuesday as they reviewed the political problems that Iraq suffers from currently.”

“The two sides discussed the Kurdish issue where Barzani confirmed the importance of solving the file PKK politically,” the statement concluded.

Earlier, Barzani arrived in Turkey on last Monday in an official visit to participate in the International Economic Conference.
