Barzani, Kurdish Parties discuss possibility of sending delegation to Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, held a meeting for the Kurdish political parties where he discussed the possibility of sending a delegation to Baghdad to confirm the adherence of Kurdistan Region to the constitution and informing the government of its monopolization policy.

A statement by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan received by IraqiNews.com on Wednesday quoted a parliamentary source of Kurdistan Region, as saying “The meeting focused on two issues, the first was about the meeting between Barzani and the President, Jalal Talabani, where Barzani assured the necessity of the Kurdish unity,” noting that “The second issue was about sending a delegation from Kurdistan Region to inform Baghdad about the adherence of Kurdistan Region over applying the constitution and the former deals.”

“The other aim of sending the delegation was to inform government of its monoploization policy because such policy does not serve the Iraqi unity,” he concluded.
