Barzani, Mutlaq, Issawi discuss latest political tensions

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Kurdistan President Masoud Barzani met today Deputy Premier Saleh al-Mutlaq and Minister of Finance Rafi’ al-Issawi and discussed the latest tensions in the political arena, according to Kurdish Region Presidency‘s statement. The statement, copy received by IraqiNews.com, said that the talks tackled many issues related to the general situation in Iraq , particularly the recent conflict.   It added that a decision was taken to continue such meetings with an attempt to hold an expanded national conference.   The Iraqi scene witnessed a political and security tension, due to the demands of some provinces to be transformed into regions, amid political differences between the biggest political blocs in the country.   Iraqiya Alliance suspended its membership in the Iraqi parliament in protest against “the methodology used by premier Maliki in unilateral decisions and administering the state.
