Barzani receives letter from Obama

Erbil (IraqiNews.com) The President of Kurdistan Region Masoud Barzani received a letter from the President of the United States Barack Obama.

A statement by the Kurdistan Regional Government received by IraqiNews.com cited Monday “Barzani received in Salah-il-Din Resort the new US Consul General for Kurdistan Region Paul Steven.”

“Steven handed Barzani a letter from the US President Barack Obama which included reiterating on mutual understandings and working together to guarantee prosperous future for all,” the statement mentioned.

“During the meeting, the new US Consul General presented his credentials and briefed Barzani about his career, expressing his delight to represent the US in Kurdistan Region,” the statement concluded.
