Barzani says Kurdistan wants to foster relations with Kuwait

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: President of Iraq’s Kurdistan region, Massoud Barzani, said on Wednesday that the Kurdistan leadership has a strong desire to boost relations with Kuwait, according to a presidential statement. “The president received today at the Salah al-Din resort a high-profile media delegation from Kuwait, led by Adnan Khaliefa Rashed Ibrahim,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “Barzani underlined Kurdistan’s desire to boost relations with Kuwait for the good of the two people,” it added. “The delegation valued the developments in the region, expressing hope for more progress and that Kuwait would benefit from the investment opportunities in the region and to open its consulate in Arbil.” SH (P)/SR 79
