Barzani to present MPs’ signatures to Talabani Thursday or Friday

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, will present the collected MPs’ signatures to withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, to the President, Jalal Talabani, on Thursday or next Friday.

Informed source stated to IraqiNews.com “Barzani will present the signatures to Talabani either Thursday or Friday to be presented to the parliament chairmanship.”

“Talabani agreed during last Wednesday meeting to submit the request to withdrawing confidence from Maliki if the political sides gathered 164 MPs’ signatures to support this request,” he stressed, assuring that “We exceeded this number where the Kurdistani Alliance gathered 55 signatures, Iraqiya Slate got 79 signatures and Ahrar bloc managed to 40 others,” he concluded.
