Basra council to take decision on police chief next Monday

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: The Basra council will take a decision regarding the chief of police next Monday after interrogating him, a media source said on Friday. “The Basra council listened to the answers of General Adel Daham in the special session held on Thursday (Sept. 30) on the number of security cases occurred in the province,” Hashem al-Laiebi told IraqiNews.com news agency. Vice President of Basra council, Ahmad al-Salieti, had said that questioning the Basra police chief came for not protecting the council during the demonstration staged against the lack of electricity and the recent security violations in the province.
