Basra dep. gov. receives UNHCR delegation

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: First Deputy Governor of Basra Nizar Rabie al-Jabiri received on Thursday the deputy representative of the UN High commission for Refugees (UNHCR) and discussed humanitarian works in the province, a spokesman said. “The meeting tacked projects launched by the UNHCR in Basra,” Nazim al-Jabiri told IraqiNews.com news agency. The deputy governor and the UNHCR official also took up activities launched by the international organization for refugees returning from outside Iraq and hotspots within the war-torn country, he added.
