Batiekh describes attempt to withdraw confidence as "Mere political pressures"

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The White bloc assured “withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, will not be accomplished.”

The Secretary General of the White bloc, Jamal al-Batiekh, stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The attempts to withdraw confidence are mere political pressures.”

“If these sides want to withdraw confidence, they would do earlier without delay,” he added.

“Maliki assumed his post through his electoral merits during the last elections,” he mentioned, stressing that “All the political blocs should support the government in its efforts to present the services for the citizens and to establish the institutes of the State.”

The spokesperson of the IS, Maysoun al-Damlouji, stated to IraqiNews.com “We managed to get the required signatures to withdraw confidence from Maliki,” noting that “The MPs’ signatures were collected from all the blocs.”

Some MPs raised doubts over collecting this number where some MPs confirmed that their names were added to the list of the MPs signing the request for withdrawing confidence from Maliki while they did not in reality.
