Bayati: Defense Committee to host security leaders in Iraq twice a week

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Member of the Security and Defense Parliamentary Committee, Abbas al-Bayati, assured that “The Committee will host the security leaders in Baghdad and the provinces twice a week to discuss the security updates in Iraq.”

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Wednesday, he said “The meeting that was held between the Committee and the security leaders from the Interior and Defense Ministries in addition to the Commander of Baghdad Operations Command, was to set a schedule to host the security leaders where the Committee will meet the security leaders twice a week.”

“The meeting was also to discuss the latest security breaches that took place on Monday and to set the means of cooperation between the Legislative Authority and the Security Forces to support and appreciate the efforts of the security forces,” he added.

“The meeting was very useful for the two sides and we were acquainted with the security situation and the security plans,” he concluded.
