Bazoni: Blocs to postpone settlement of key disputes after upcoming elections

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Jawad al-Bazoni, pointed out that “The political blocs will postpone the settlement of the key disputes among them till after the upcoming parliamentary elections.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The State of Law Coalition is adherent to settle the disputes through submitting the proposal of the political reforms but the other sides have no intention to solve the major pending issues.”

“Most of the pending issues are not possible to be solved so the national meeting could not be held in this stage,” he added.

“The current meetings aim at calming the situation over some issues,” he continued.

“We are still in the State of the parties rather than laws or institutions,” he stressed, assuring that “The crisis will continue and may be solved by forming a government of political majority.”

Iraq witnesses political crisis lasted for several months due to the disputes among the political sides related to the partnership and other issues which led some blocs to call for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, after holding meetings in Najaf and Erbil provinces.
