Bazoni confirms difficulty of forming lobby inside parliament to endorse key laws

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The independent MP, Jawad al-Bazoni, confirmed “The difficulty of forming a lobby inside the parliament to endorse the key laws due to the power of the political blocs that impose their views through breaking the quorum.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Most of the MPs are linked to their blocs as they have interests from their blocs and the general situation so it is difficult for the independent MPs to forma lobby to endorse the important laws including the Federal Court Law, Parties Law and the Elections Law.”

“There are important laws not endorsed due to the political disputes among the blocs,” he added.

“The current parliamentary rotation will not be able to accomplish its tasks so the independent and qualified figures must be elected in the next elections,” he assured.

“There should be a public pressure on the parties and the blocs to solve the disputes,” he concluded.

It is worth mentioning that some significant laws are not endorsed by the parliament due to the disputes.
