 Biden renews US support for Iraq in its war against terrorism

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Monday, US Vice President Joe Biden renewed the United States support for Iraq in its war against terrorism, while pointed out that his country will assist the government of Haider al-Abadi to overcome the economic challenges.

Abadi’s information office said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “On Monday, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi received a telephone call from the US Vice President Joe Biden.”

The statement added, “The two sides discussed the political and security situation, war against terrorism, economic and financial challenges and the importance of completing the reforms.”

“Biden also renewed his country’s support for any military efforts needed to liberate all the Iraqi cities and the reforms carried out by Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, as well as helping Iraq to overcome the economic challenges,” the statement continued.
