Urgent – Maliki arrives in Najaf

Najaf (IraqiNews.com) The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, arrived in Najaf province on Thursday morning.

Informed source stated to IraqiNews.com “Maliki arrived in Najaf coming from Sulaimaniya after visiting the President, Jalal Talabani, who came from a medical treatment abroad.”

“Maliki will attend the annual conference held by the Haj and Umra Commission,” the source added.

“Najaf Governor, members of Najaf local Government received Maliki at Najaf airport,” the source continued.

“It is still unknown whether Maliki will visit the religious authorities in the province or not,” the source concluded.

Earlier, Maliki accompanied by a number of Ministers and MPs arrived, on last Wednesday evening, in Sulaimaniya province to meet the President, Jalal Talabani.
