Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Advisor of the Iraqiya Slate, Hani Ashur, pointed out “The statements launched by the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, over bringing back the former Iraqi Army officers to service needs official decision especially that thousands of IA former officers have waited for long years to be brought back to service.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The Justice and Accountability Commission dismissed more than 30 officers, who were brought back to service earlier, in Dhi-Qar province, two days after Maliki’s statements were given over this issue,” noting that “These statements may be mere promises due to the political crisis.”

“Maliki as the General Commander of the Armed Forces should issue a formal decision to bring these officers to service because Iraq needs them at the current stage,” he added.

“Iraq needs these officers from all over the Iraqi provinces rather than Mosul and Salah-il-Din only,” he concluded.

Earlier, Maliki ordered to Form a committee to bring the former Iraqi Army officers back to service during holding the session of the Council of Ministers in Nineveh province.
