Chalabi: Iraq suffers from USA policy

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the National Congress, Ahmed al-Chalabi, criticized the USA policy in Iraq describing it by saying “The US policy brought disasters to Iraq in the last few years”.

In his speech to the political blocs in the foundation of the Political blocs and National Figures Alliance, he sated “The US committed historical mistake by requesting the decision of the United Nations to occupy Iraq.”

“The Americans did not listen to the national figures to form a national government and the civil ruler, Paul Bremer, did the opposite which resulted in brining disasters to Iraq,” he added.

Referring to his argument with the US government, he pointed out “We did not allow the US government to write the constitution according to their desires but we made sure to make it done by Iraqis and this is the point of argument with the Americans.”
