Change bloc describes Barazani’s threat against Maliki as Political pressure

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Change bloc described the threat of Kurdistani Region to reveal secret documents against the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki and the State of Law Coalition as “Political pressure against Maliki and the Iraqi National Alliance to adhere to Erbil meeting.”

MP, Hafal Saed, of the Change bloc stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, does not have any secret documents that force Maliki to change his policy.”

“If these documents were true, they would harm Barazani same as they do for Maliki because he agreed to conduct them with Maliki. Besides, these threats came as a reaction to what Maliki stated about Barazani in one of the interviews,” he added.

“Barazani’s reaction was as usual to get the sympathy of the Kurdish people,” he pointed out, noting that “The disputes between Maliki and Barazani are persona; and has no relation to the political process.”

Earlier, the Presidency of Kurdistan Regional Government threatened to reveal secret documents related to the agreements concluded between the State of Law Coalition and Kurdistan Region or related to the general political situation in Iraq.

The spokesperson of the Presidency of Kurdistan RegionG stated in a press statement over Maliki’s interview with NRT Kurdish Satellite Channel “Maliki repeated what he used to say against Kurdistan Region by trying to blame others over his faults.”
