Committee to return Iraqi aircrafts from Tunisia

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi government has set up a committee comprising representatives of the ministries of foreign affairs, transport and finance to follow up on the return of Iraqi aircrafts from Tunisia, an official statement said on Thursday. “An Iraqi delegation, led by the prime minister’s advisor for aviation affairs, Ahmed al-Saadawi, arrived in Tunisia to negotiate over the aircrafts that have been stationed in Tunisia,” according to a statement released by the national media center and received by IraqiNews.com. “In cooperation with the Iraqi government, the committee aims to retrieve Iraqi property from all countries,” the statement noted. In the early 1990s and following the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, the former Saddam Hussein regime sent military aircrafts and equipment to a number of Arab and foreign countries, according to the then government officials.
