Confessions were pre-made against me, Hashimi

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Vice-President Tariq al-Hashimi said that the confessions declared by the Interior Ministry were pre-made. He added that he is “subject to a sectarian agenda after the declaration of some provinces to be changed to regions”. In a press conference here, he expressed astonishment of ending the interrogations within 48 hours in “such old diversified and complicated crimes”. “This proves that that the confessions were pre-arranged”, he added, but questioned “why these accusations took place with the US forces withdrawal and the calls for establishing new regions in the country”. He charged “foreign agendas from foreign countries” for such accusations, confirming that he “has the evidences to prove that”. Iraqiya bloc, headed by Iyad Alawi,  announced today that it will object for the warrant issue and stressed that the confessions were done under torture. 459
