Council of Ministers can’t present much during 100 days, MP says

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com – A Legislature, representing al-Iraqiya Coalition, led by former Prime Minister Iyad Allawi, has said on Saturday that the Council of Ministers would not be able to present much for citizens during the 100-day period, defined by Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.   “There are a lot of piled problems that would prevent the ministers in the present cabinet to overcome during the 100-day period, defined by the Prime Minister, being a period of experience,” Wihda al-Jumeily told IraqiNews.com news agency.   Iraqi Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, had defined a 100-day period to evaluate the activity of his government and each ministry aside.   As regards to the naming of the security ministers in the new cabinet, Jumeily said that “the Parliament does not know the names of the candidates for the security posts till now,” demanding the Prime Minister to name them in the nearest possible time.   Differences have taken place during the past two months about the candidates for the security posts, that are still vacant, especially the Interior and Defense Ministers, the first being the share of the National Coalition, led by Prime Minister Maliki, and the second by al-Iraqiya Coalition, led by Iyad Allawi.   PT / SKH     384
