Dahlaki: Diyala blocs determined to nominate new governor
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Raad al-Dahlaki of the Iraqiya Slate stressed that “The political blocs in Diyala province are determined to end the file of electing a new Governor for Diyala soon.”
Dahlaki added in a statement for IraqiNews.com “We have a number of nominees for the post of Diyala Governor among them (Hafidh al-Jubouri, Talal al-Jubouri, and Omar Abdul Aziz), also there are names nominated by the IS such as Mazin al-Khezaran.”
“There is no clear vision about who will assume this position but all the political blocs have agreed to end this issue as soon as possible,” he added.
It is worth to mention that Furat al-Timimi assumed the post as Diyala Acting Governor after the death of the late Governor, Hisham al-Hayali, who died due to a traffic accident on last August, 18th.
