Delay naming of security ministers undermines security situation in Iraq, MP says.

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com – The delay of naming security cabinet ministers is fully undermining the security situation in the country, a Legislature from al-Iraqiya List, led by Iyad Allawi, said on Saturday.   “Al-Iraqiya list had presented candidates to Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, who were Falah al-Naqib and Khalid al-Obeidy,” Mohammed Khudhier al-Daamy told IraqiNews.com news agency, promising that his list would support any candidate chosen by Maliki.   Daamy said that his list “wants to put an end for this dossier and to name the security ministers, because any delay won’t serve the interest of the country and affects the security situation in Iraq , 100%.”   Regarding his expectation towards the withdrawal of the U.S. forces from Iraq by the end of the period, defined by the Security Agreement signed between both countries, Daamy said: “the agreement is on its way for realization and nobody in Iraq, be it the people, the government, the Parliament members or security blocs wants to see the postponement of the implementation of the agreement.”   “Their withdrawal from Iraq this year has become a status-quo and there is no meaning for their stay in Iraq after the agreed date for their withdrawal, under any new justification,” he said.   Daamy, meanwhile said that the security situation had “improved, thing that means that further presence of the U.S. troops in Iraq, may push the security crisis back to its previous situation, expressing hope that “they would pull out ‘today, before tomorrow,’ in order to complete Iraq’s sovereignty.”   The Security Minisers are the Defense Minister, which is the share of al-Iraqiya Coalition and the Interior and National Security Ministers, the share of the National Coalition, led by Prime Minister Maliki, with both sides opposing the candidate of the other.   RT / SKH   453
