Demonstrators postpones holding unified prayer in Baghdad

Baghdad ( The public committees organizing the demonstrations in Anbar province decided to postpone holding the unified prayer in Baghdad.

The spokesperson of the demonstrators, Said al-Lafi, stated to Iraqi News ( “The unified prayer that was supposed to be held in Abu Hamifa al-Numan Mosque in Baghdad on next Friday, is postponed till further notice.”

“This decision was made due to the calls for not holding the prayer in Baghdad,” he concluded.

Earlier, one of the demonstrations organizers stated to Iraqi News ( “The public committees in Ramadi city held a meeting to discuss holding a unified prayer in Baghdad where they will decide holding the prayer or not after finishing the meeting.”

The clergymen in Anbar province rejected holding a unified prayer in Baghdad because it will increase the tensions between Anbar province and the government.
