Disputes hurdles endorsing General Amnesty law draft, says Shwani

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Parliamentary Legal Committee assured that “The disputes among the political sides hurdled the endorsement of the General Amnesty law draft before Eid al-Fitr.”

The head of the Committee, MP Khalid Shwani, stated to IraqiNews.com “These disputes still exist over the law draft and hinder the vote on it.”

“Among these disputes is the description of the terrorism and those who are involved in the general amnesty,” he added.

“There are many opinions presented to the parliament in this respect,” he concluded.

Earlier, MP Arshad al-Salihi, of the Iraqiya Slate stated to IraqiNews.com “The parliament will discuss the General Amnesty law draft after the holiday of Eid.”
