Dori calls to re-activate electronic vote system inside Parliament

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Itab al-Dori of the Iraqiya Slate called on “The Parliament to re-adopt the electronic voting system to free MPs from the domination of the blocs leaders who confiscated their rights in expressing their opinions towards the important laws which directly affect the citizens’ interests.”

Dori stressed “Often, vote on the significant laws is subject to the political and commercial deals away from the people interests.”

“The endorsement of the majority of laws is based on the wills of the leaders of the political blocs and figures who are close to the decision-making centers,” Dori continued.

“Therefore, we persist on our request to reactivate the electronic voting system to meet the people interests through passing laws that serve their benefits rather than the interests of the political leaders,” she urged.
