Efforts to end political crisis make no progress, confirms Tayeb

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Spokesperson of the Kurdistani Alliance, MP Muayad al-Tayeb, stressed that “The efforts exerted to end the political crisis did not achieve any progress in settling the current political crisis,” noting that “The presence of the President, Jalal al-Talabani, will not solve the crisis unless the political blocs reach a compromise to prepare for holding the national Meeting.”

MP Tayeb stated to IraqiNews.com “All the meetings and talks among the political sides to settle the political crisis are stopped now.”

“The request of investigating the Premier Nouri al-Maliki and withdrawing confidence from him is not specified yet, also there are several projects for solving the crisis but all these initiatives made no progress,” he clarified.

“The participation of Talabani is very crucial in any project for addressing the crisis but it must be supported by an earnest political movement in this direction,” KA’s spokesperson added.

“Up till now the Iraqi National Alliance and the blocs within it have not agreed upon the agendas and the nature of the planned political reforms proposal that we have not seen it yet,” Tayeb concluded.
