Election campaign kicks off in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: The election campaign of political blocs participating in the coming elections started on Friday in the city of Basra, a member of the Basra council said. “Political blocs started on Friday (Feb. 12) their election campaigns for the coming parliamentary elections with hanging posters and banners,” Abdulkareem al-Dousari, from the Islamic party, told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The Islamic party hanged its banners and distributed the leaflets,” he added, noting that the campaign will continue for the coming days.
