Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi National Alliance’s MP Karim Elewi described the decision of the Islamic Cooperation Organization to suspend the membership of Syria in the Organization as “Shamful decision.”

MP Elewi stated to Iraqi News Thursday “If the KSA and Qatar were supporting the Palestinian case as it supports the militants in Syria, the Palestinians would achieve huge victories against the Zionists in Israel, but the leaders of the KSA and Qatar are looking for personal interests only.”

“The US and Israel have an agreement to suppress the Palestinian People and topple those who defend the Palestinian rights,” he added, stressing that “The KSA and Qatar have aggressive attitudes towards the regimes which oppose Israel and aim to topple these regimes such as the case now with Syria.”

Elewi expressed his regret towards the stance of the Arab States which decided to suspend the membership of Syria in the Organization, considering this stance as “a shameful decision since nobody could deny that Syria is an Arabic and Islamic country.”

He called the Arab and Islamic countries to “keep Syria within the Islamic Cooperation Organization and consider this suspension as a wrong decision.”
