Erbil attendants confirm adherence to Najaf meeting’s resolutions

Erbil (IraqiNews.com) The President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barazani, held a meeting in Erbil attended by the leaders of the Iraqiya Slate, the Kurdistani Alliance and Ahrar bloc.

A statement, issued after the end of the meeting, cited “Erbil meeting was supplement to the meetings of Najaf and Erbil and to fix the political process and stop monopolization of authority.”

“The attendants confirmed adherence to the resolutions of Najaf meeting and to continue holding the convulsive meetings and extend them during the next few days in order to set the suitable mechanisms to apply what was agreed upon,” the statement concluded.

A source from the meeting stated to IraqiNews.com “The meeting was attended by the President of Kurdistan Alliance, Masoud Barzani, the head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, the Speaker Osama al-Nijaifi, the Deputy Premier, Salih al-Mutleg, and a delegation from Sadr Trend involved the Spokesman of the Trend, Salah al-Ubaidi, and Mustafa al-Yaqoubi,” noting that “The meeting was devoted for consultation rather than issuing certain decisions.”
