EU delegation opens office in Arbil

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Justice Minister in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region Rauf Rasheed discussed with a European Union official on Thursday procedures to open an office for the European bloc in the Kurdish city of Arbil, according to a statement by the region’s government. “Minister Rasheed received the EU official in charge of judicial development in Iraq and discussed ways to open an office for the EU in the Iraqi Kurdistan region,” read the statement as received by IraqiNews.com news agency. The European official praised judicial development witnessed by the region as far as protection of human rights and independence of justice circles are concerned.
