France supports democratic process in Kurdistan – Consul

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The French Consulate in Arbil announced today it supports the democratic process in the region, pointing out that some media sources misinterpreted its previous official statements.  In the statement issued by the Consulate, as received by IraqiNews.com, it said “France is looking attentively to the achievements made in Kurdistan region.”  It added that some media circles misinterpreted the statements of the French Consul in Arbil on the French National Day as criticism to the officials in the region regarding freedoms and justice implementation.  RM (TP)/SR 312
