Habobi warns from forming results of upcoming elections

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Secretary General of the Iraqi Republican Gathering, Hashim al-Habobi, warned “The political blocs from forging the results of the upcoming elections.”

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he announced “Rejecting the nomination of the candidates for the Independent High Electoral Commission according to the confessionalism.”

“The blocs’ insistence on nominating the IHEC members according to the partisan interests will result in forming not independent Commission,” he added.

“I warn from repeating the same figures in through the unfair elections,” he mentioned.

“The political deals are behind the current disputes among the blocs,” he stressed.

He called “The blocs to stand against the wrong nomination to establish objective conditions for the next elections.”

Earlier, Parliament voted on extending the term of the Independent High Electoral Commission for 35 days.
