Hakim, Abadi discuss political, security updates

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, renewed his support to the National Unity Government while received Prime Minister, Haider al-Abadi, on Monday.

A statement by the SIIC received by Iraqi News cited “Hakim received Abadi at his office in Baghdad.”

“They discussed the political and security updates in addition to the file of the displaced citizens,” the statement added.

“For his part, Abadi confirmed that the meeting consolidates the relations between the sides of the Iraqi National Alliance and among other blocs,” the statement added.

“Abadi called the political blocs to cooperate to achieve success for the government,” the statement concluded. /End/
