Hakim calls to form strong, active provincial councils

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, stressed the necessity of forming strong and active provincial councils, calling the Iraqi voters to trace the application of the nominees’ pledges.

A statement by Hakim’s office reported on Monday “During his chairing the extended Shura meeting of the Shaheed al-Mihrab Trend at his office in Baghdad, Hakim expressed his gratitude for Shaheed al-Mihrab Trend’s staff for their active contribution in ensuring the success of the provincial elections, urging them to keep in touch with the people and work on serving them.”

Hakim noted “The Citizen Coalition extends the helping hand for all the winners in the local elections so as to build the country and head towards a bright future.”
