Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, called to consolidate the role of the Iraqi National Alliance to settle disputes and avoid the media escalation among the political sides.
A statement by Hakim’s office received by IraqiNews.com on Thursday cited “Hakim received the head of the National Conference Party, Ahmed al-Chalabi, in his office in Baghdad. The two sides discussed the latest political updates in Iraq.”
“The two sides also discussed the Iraqi relations with the Arab community in addition to the tensions in the region,” the statement concluded.
