Hakim, Jalili discuss Syrian situation
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, and the Secretary General of the Iranian National Security, Saeed Jalili, discussed the latest updates of the Syrian situation.
A statement by the SIIC received by IraqiNews.com cited “Hakim received Jalili at his office in Baghdad where the discussed the regional issues and the Syrian file.”
The statement concluded “Hakim stressed the necessity of conducting dialogue in Syria to settle the Syrian crisis, confirming his support to the Syrian refugees to Iraq.”
Jalili arrived in Baghdad coming from Syria on Wednesday as he met the Iraqi senior officials to discuss bilateral relations and the developments of the Syrian crisis in addition to the regional updates.
