Hashimi heads to Saudi Arabia

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The judicially wanted Vice-President, Tariq al-Hashimi, headed from Turkey to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to condole the Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdelaziz for the death of Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince who passed away on last Saturday.

A statement by Hashimi’s temporary office in Kurdistan Region received by IraqiNews.com cited “Hashimi sent condolence messages to key officials in KSA,” noting that “He is expected to reach Jeddah on Wednesday to condole personally for the death of the Crown Prince.”

The Saudi State TV said on last Saturday that Prince Naif had died in Geneva, where he had been receiving medical treatment for an unknown illness.
