Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The trial of the judicially wanted Iraqi Vice President, Tareq al-Hashimi, started on Sunday while the judge in charge of the case has been changed.

A Judicial source stated to IraqiNews.com “The court resumed on Sunday the session of Hashimi’s trial in absentia along with his bodyguards who are accused of committing crimes related to terrorism,” noting that “The former judge Hashim al-Khafaji who was in charge of the case has been replaced.”

Earlier, MP Jamal al-Kelani of Tajdeed Movement headed by Hashimi has pointed out to IraqiNews.com “It is likely that the Sunday session of Hashimi trial will issue the verdict against Hashimi stressing that “In case of issuing the verdict then the political process will be disturbed and we will undergo a new crisis.”
