Hasnawi: Weakening parliament’s role against Government’s interests

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Salih al-Hasnawi, of the State of Law Coalition confirmed that “Weakening the parliament’s role is against the Government’s interests.”

He stated to IraqiNews.com “The government needs a strong and effective parliament due its need to news laws because the current old laws need to be updated.”

“The Law of the Infrastructure needs to be endorsed by the parliament to enable the government to start with this project,” he added.

“The government has not tendency to marginalize the parliament as some sides claim,” he concluded.

Some MPs from various blocs pointed out that the government aims at weakening and marginalizing the parliament for political agenda.
