Heated argument takes place between Kurdish MP, Izidi MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A heated argument took place at the Iraqi Parliament’s building between a Kurdish MP and Izidi MP over the origin of the Izidi community.

A parliamentary source stated on Saturday “A heated discussion broke out during the Parliament’s session of Saturday between MP Mahama Khalil of the Kurdistani Alliance and the Izidi MP Ameen Farhan Jejo while they were discussing the origin of the Izidi community.”

“Khalil stressed that the Izidi citizens are Kurds whereas Jejo argued him by confirming that the Izidi people are not Kurds,” the source added.
