ICP denies mediating between Maliki, Barzani to solve disputes between them

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Communist Party denied “The report over mediating between the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki and the President of Kurdistani Region, Masoud Barzani, to solve the disputes between them.”

The leader within the ICP, Mufeed al-Jazairi, stated to IraqiNews.com “The ICP has not mediation between the two figures,” noting that “The meetings of the ICP with the two sides comes within the course of the Party contacts with the political blocs and leaders.”

“Our last meeting with Maliki comes in response to an invitation from him,” he assured.

“It is a normal issue to hold meetings with the others sides to discuss the settlement of the current crisis,” he concluded.
