IHEC says 79.23% of votes counted

BAGHDAD /Iraqi News The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) said on Tuesday that 79.23 percent of the votes throughout Iraq have been counted. This came during a press conference, attended by official spokesman of the IHEC, Qassem al-Aboudi, and deputy chairman of the commissioners council, Amal al-Bayraqdar. The IHEC said that the announced percentages covered all provinces; Baghdad (77.84 percent), Duhuk, (70.21 percent), Arbil (73.4 percent), Sulaimaniya (79.61 percent), Ninewa (80.22 percent), Kirkuk (74.56 percent), Diala (75.13 percent), Anbar (82.53 percent), Babel (80.08 percent), Karbala (74.03 percent), Wassit (89.029 percent), Salah al-Din (73.081 percent), Najaf (78.63 percent), al-Qadissiya (84.57 percent), Muthanna (86.14 percent), Thi-Qar (84.15 percent), Missan (75.84 percent) and Basra (85.94 percent).
