IIP urges release of detainees on invasion anniversary

BAGHDAD /Iraqi News The Iraqi Islamic Party (IIP) has called for the release of detainees on the seventh anniversary of the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq. In a statement received by Iraqi News, the party has demanded the withdrawal of U.S. troops from the country. The statement has reiterated calls to bring Iraq out of Chapter VII of the UN Charter.
