INA describes discussions with other blocs over reforms as “positive”

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi National Alliance assured after the meeting of its political Committee that “The meetings held by the reforms committee with the rest of blocs and political entities are positive.”

A statement by the INA on Wednesday morning cited “The political Committee of the Iraqi National Alliance held its regular meeting with attendance of all constituents of the Alliance on Tuesday evening at the office of the Ibrahim al-Jaafary,” noting that “The meeting reviewed the positive results of meetings held by the reforms committee with other blocs and political entities.”

“The INA confirms its adherence to accomplish the Provincial Councils’ elections on stated date through speeding up formation of the new Independent High Electoral Commission,” the statement added, stressing that “All sides should work to consolidate national unity and protect political process and the regime from the foreign negative developments.”

The Alliance also called the Blocs to make use of Holy Ramadan to consolidate partnership among political sides and continue media calm down which has been positively reflected on the whole political process.

The meeting also condemned the terrorist attacks that targeted the civilians in several Iraqi provinces and emphasized necessity of supporting the security forces to confront terrorist groups and remnants of the Baath who shed the innocent blood in this holy month, the statement concluded.
