INA MP calls Iraqi people to demonstrate against attempts to topple government

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Karim Eliwi, of the Iraqi National Alliance called the Iraqis to “demonstrate protesting the attempts to topple the government.”

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he stated “We call the Iraqi people from all sects to condemn the plots, supported by foreign sides, that attempt to topple the government which was selected by the Iraqi people.”

“There should be a role to the Iraqi people to stop these attempts in order to get its integrity and prevent returning the policies of the former regime,” he added, assuring that “The Iraqi people must say their word against those who want to topple the national partnership government.”

Earlier, the spokesperson of the IS, Maysoun al-Damlouji, stated to IraqiNews.com “We managed to get the required signatures to withdraw confidence from Maliki,” noting that “The MPs’ signatures were collected from all the blocs.”
