International community’s fears towards arming IA justified, says Kurdish MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Hamid Adel Bafi of the Kurdistani Alliance considered the fears of the international community towards arming the Iraqi Army as “legal and justified.”

He said in a statement to IraqiNews.com “Everyone knows well that the former dictator regime had fought Iran by the former army for eight years, also occupied Kuwait and destroyed and removed its key features within few days.”

“The former army was used by the oppressive former regime to wage wars against Kurdistan people for decades where the regime and the army committed crimes against humanity by committing genocide, ethnic cleansing, demographic change and Arabisation in some districts within Kurdistan Region,” Bafi added.
