Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Member of the State of Law Coalition, Shakir al-Daraji, pointed out that “Investigating the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, in the parliament will harm many politicians.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The SLC is not afraid of the investigation process as Maliki will be generous in answering the questions but some politicians will be negatively affected by the facts that will be announced before Iraqis.”

“Maliki will reveal the sides behind the attempt of withdrawing confidence from the government which are supported by Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey,” he added.

“We are concerned that the situation will witness more tensions after the investigations because some sides will be scandalized by the facts that Maliki will reveal,” he concluded.

Earlier, the President Jalal Talabani assured, on last Saturday night, that “The number of the MPs who have signed a request to withdraw confidence from the Premier Nouri al-Maliki reached only 160 MPs which is less than the required number limited by 163.”

The political sides which held a meeting in Erbil on last Sunday decided to send “A clarifying message to confirm that the signatures collected for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, are constitutionally suffesient and valid.

It is worth mentioning that the head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, and the Deputy Premier, Salih al-Mutleg, participated in a meeting in Nineveh to discuss the efforts for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki.
