Investigation committee for Parliament explosion formed

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A miniature parliamentary committee was formed in cooperation with the Commander-in-Chief of armed forces’ office to investigate yesterday’s explosion, hoping to submit a preliminary report next Thursday. “It is too early to accuse or explain the case without having the results of the investigation,” Parliamentary Security Commission MP Abbas al-Bayati told IraqiNews.com. He confirmed that the security breach stresses the importance of reconsidering security procedures as well as entry and exit plans. “There are terrorist groups that do not want stability in Iraq and desires to create as state of chaos in the country”, he added. Iraqi parliament undergone a suicidal attack that led to the killing of one man and injuring two, according to Baghdad Operations Command speaker General Qassim Atta. Other sources said that the explosion resulted from a mortar shell fell on the parliament that led to wounding a Kurdish Alliance member and spokesman Mu’ayad al-Tayib. RM (TI)/SR 94
